Foot Stool Makeover

I went to a church sale a few weeks ago and found this interesting stool for 2.00.  I walked around the room several times thinking about buying it but wasn't sure. I don't know why I ever doubt myself because once I get something home I always thing of something to do with it.  I don't mean to brag but that is just the way I am.  My mind sees things continually, other people see junk I see a fun project.

As you can see this footstool was very different.  It has a 4 inch foam seat on it covered in tapestry.  The height was way to high to use to rest your feet on comfortably and to unstable to use for a coffee table.  It took me an hour to strip off the fabric and foam but I was really excited because after I did the stool looked like an industrial chic piece.  I decided to leave the bottom stained and paint the top and stencil it.

Now it is suitable to use as a footstool or a little catch all table.
